Job Overview & Responsibilities

An IT Vendor Management Specialist 5 at United Launch Alliance is responsible for managing Cloud vendors in addition to IT performance, cloud usage, and billing. Additional responsibilities include:

Managing contractual, commercial, and operational working relationships with vendors across a variety of Cloud planforms to ensure effective usage of committed resources, services, and solutions. Aligning Cloud provider services with the strategic direction, mission, and vision of the vendor management office (VMO). Coordinatingmeetings and collaboratingwith internal stakeholders - including IT, launch operations, business resources, sourcing, and procurement - keep meeting minutes. Providing assistance to IT and Launch Operations teams to optimize the cost-effectiveness of cloud agreements to ensure compliance of negotiated agreements to established policies and practices. Coordinatingwith asset management resources to assist in the management and tracking of cloud-based entitlements. Trackingkey engagement milestones (expirations, renewals), measure and report on cloud vendor performance and manage the delivery of performance feedback to vendors. Segmenting and rationalizingthe cloud portfolio so that appropriate focus can be applied to the most strategically important vendor engagements. Assisting in maintaining an inventory of vendor spend by category (software, hardware, telecom, staff augmentation, services). Coordinatingthe communication process with vendors with direction from IT VMO Leader, to ensure that appropriate leverage is preserved. Participating in the selection and implementation of IT supplier sourcing strategies to ensure high quality, on time delivery and cost competitiveness. Maintaining relationships with vendor contacts, in order to resolve complaints and to report the status of the relationship to senior management. Monitoring vendor compliance with contractual obligations and measures performance based on company criteria.

Required Education Bachelor

Required Years of Experience Minimum of 8 years of related work experience

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. 4 years of directly related experience and relevant professional certifications may be used to satisfy the bachelor's degree requirement. Previous exposure to managing Cloud contracts including, but not limited to: Policies Performance Relationships Issue and dispute resolution General knowledge of contract management and negotiation. Previous experience with vendor life cycle (sourcing, procurement, vendor management), and how internal roles interact and operate throughout the duration of vendor engagements. Solid grasp of financial concepts, such as depreciation schedules, capitalization, return on investment, and total cost of ownership. Thorough understanding of commercial terms (warranties, intellectual property, indemnification) in IT agreements.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with IT standards such as ITIL. Familiarity with relevant regulatory and industry requirements (ITAR, FAR-12). Summary Salary Range (forULA - Denveronly): $139,911.00 - $218,540.00
