Job Description

The Associate Manager, Asset Supply & Demand Planning incumbent will be responsible for all the facets of trunk stock audit, exit audits, inventory levels, and analysis surrounding all inventory pools that that Asset Management has responsibility for. This position, and overall team provides inventory and audit analysis determine and provide general inventory direction and audit activity to then provide/drive execution to maintain a correct mix of high quality and lean inventory of Olympus owned assets that supports order demand. This leader will be challenged with the creation of performance measurements, Key Performance Indicators, and analysis of the data to drive business decisions from areas as inventory levels, customer order fill rate, customer order on-time performance, inventory life cycle management, forecast accuracy, master data accuracy, forecast bias at the most economical method possible.

Job Duties

  • Directly supervise a team with multiple responsibilities

  • Creation and oversight of proactive inventory planning and execution strategies so that the optimal levels of inventory are in place.

  • Creation and oversight of an efficient phased procurement plan not to allow transaction of excess stagnate inventory within the pool.

  • Participate in continuous improvement strategy sessions and projects to establish additional inventory programs to establish best practices.

  • Structure programs to provide information/data to support accurate updates to Product Marketing.

  • Regularly provide data to support forecasting of new purchases and removal of obsolete/stagnate inventory.

  • Provide requests/recommendations of purchases to support necessary inventory level targets to support Sales and Non-Sales activity.

  • Conduct yearly Product Lifecycle Management analysis and meet with all stakeholders to remove assets from the pool to other output locations.

  • Conduct inventory reconciliation projects throughout the year.

  • Provide functional and technical expertise of inventory practices/process as information sharing and or to remove project roadblocks.

  • Understanding of Supply Chain/Inventory control methodologies

  • Practice proper inventory audits process, maintain accuracy and define process for any inventory expectations discovery and supply dispositions in alignment of departmental strategies.

  • Oversee inventory repair projects.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 4 years of required supervision of a team.

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills required.

  • Up to 10% travel

Preferred:

  • Prefer Bachelor’s degree in related/comparable fields (Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance) or a minimum of 4 years relevant work experience.

  • SAP Experience.

  • Data/modelling creation and data interpretation.

  • PowerPoint and presentation skills

  • Data Management. Analytics Interpretation

  • Understanding of Inventory Mgmt. and Lean concepts.
