LOCATION - WILSON STATION - CENTERTOWN, KY
The candidate is responsible for process improvement and asset management through identification, evaluation, recommendation and planning of maintenance and procurement activities. Develops technical specifications to ensure quality, efficiency and applicability of goods or services procured. Meets with bidders/suppliers to review project details and oversee project implementation. The candidate will have responsibility of developing and implementing a short and long term strategic plan that supports the needs for an electric generating station, including responsibility to monitor and support other related maintenance activities.
Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and implementing engineering, design policies, and maintenance activities for plant systems. Requires a high level of judgment, analytic ability and creativity, such as investigating moderately complex problems or situations, analyzing information and recommending solutions.
A bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering required plus 5 years related experience or an alternate combination of education and experience, which results in equivalent job knowledge. Thorough knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance systems. Good communication and supervisory skills required. Requires the ability to use formal engineering training in practical application in a power plant environment.
