Conagra Sanitation Supervisor in Centralia, Illinois

Reporting to the Plant Quality Manager, you will oversee sanitation requirements for machinery, equipment and facilities. Develop and maintain plant sanitation programs and procedures. Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, contractors and plant associates to provide a clean and sanitary facility. Assure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies regarding sanitation and pest control requirements and the use of sanitation chemical and exterminating agents. Manage and own multiple functions of the business and creating an engaged, team-oriented work force to improve sanitation results.

You Will:

  • Maintain and modify and review as needed, the plant Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) per FDA regulations, and Environmental Swabbing Program.

  • Coordinate and implement all sanitation operations in the plant and manage all sanitation control and verification, to include environment pathogen monitoring programs.

  • Develop and implement corrective action around any sanitation or pest control failures identified and maintain records of all activities.

  • Ensure documentation of all sanitation activities, to include sanitation trainings, Internal Audit, Post-operational inspections, ATP results, sanitation chemical titrations, daily sanitation operation sheets, and master sanitation schedule

  • Participate in internal and 3rd party facility audits for adherence to corporate policy and federal programs for manufacturing of food products.

  • Responsible for monitoring and overseeing pest control program and 3rd party contract and actions.

  • Responsible for the staffing, supervision and technical development of sanitation department and associates conducting sanitation activities within the facility.

  • Coordinate and administer training for all associates responsible for sanitation.

  • Manage and maintain the sanitation inventory and budget and constantly reviewing for cost saving opportunities.

  • Assist Plant Quality Manager with budget projections for the sanitation department, projects and capital improvement processes.

  • Provides support to the Quality Manager with regards to daily lab operations, quality and food safety issues to include investigation around customer complaints.

  • Work schedule may include nights and weekends.

You Have:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 5 years related experience.

  • Knowledge and experience with Food Safety Guidelines & Principles (HACCP)/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safe practices and procedures

  • Understanding of government regulations (FDA, USDA)

  • Understanding of Sanitation systems (CIP/COP)

  • Understanding of chemical concentration

  • Preferred experience in microbiology
