POSITION TITLE: Industrial Lift Operator (8,000-50,000 lbs)

We are currently seeking a skilled Industrial Forklift Operator to operate and maintain heavy equipment, primarily industrial forklifts (8,000-50,000 lbs.), in a safe and efficient manner. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Operate and maintain assigned heavy equipment, primarily forklifts, man lifts, and loaders, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
• Perform pre-job inspections and periodic maintenance on all assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist in deck and warehouse operations as necessary, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
• Conduct quality inspections of various cargoes and record production information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Transload cargo to and from truck/rail/vessel/barge by marks and count, demonstrating attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Support company safety initiatives and adhere to all operational directives and company policies, contributing to a safe and productive work environment

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High school or equivalent (preferred)

SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: Experience in a similar position in an industrial setting (preferred) Working experience in cargo transportation (preferred) Ability to safely operate assigned equipment Ability to operate heavy equipment within a confined space Thorough knowledge of warehousing operation and maintenance programs Proficiency, and accuracy in clerical skills and record keeping Thorough knowledge of personnel safety programsProficiency in equipment and deck operations Be physically fit to perform all essential physical demands of this job safely Demonstrated safe work practices, history, and leadership ability Advocate of team concept Commitment to customer service Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Must comply with all operational directives and company policies WORK ENVIRONMENT: Incumbent will work in all weather conditions ranging from warm/hot-cool/cold as well as occasional rain. Will work at different elevations, noise levels will be moderate-high. Job site will contain light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment, and tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical nature of the work will vary from day to day based on operational needs; however the job will require the incumbent to be able to perform: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion. Incumbent will also be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to: Hard Hat, eyewear, safety vests, gloves, masks/ respirators (when necessary) and steel-toe boots. Very Heavy Work: Exerting in excess of 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/ or in excess of 50 lbs. frequently, and/ or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
