Job Summary:

We are seeking a driven and dedicated Business Development Intern to join our team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the aerospace and defense industry and contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at expanding our market presence. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced business development team and play a pivotal role in driving growth within the aerospace sector.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends within the aerospace and defense industry.

  • Assist in the development of marketing materials and presentations tailored to aerospace and defense clients.

  • Support the identification and pursuit of strategic partnerships and collaborations within the aerospace and defense sector.

  • Assist in prospecting and qualifying leads through targeted outreach and networking efforts.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute aerospace and defense-specific business development strategies.

  • Attend meetings and industry events to gain insights into the aerospace and defense market and client needs.

  • Provide administrative support, including data analysis and report preparation, to aid business development efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong communication skills and a passion for the aerospace and defense industry.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Prior experience or coursework related to business development or engineering is a plus but not required.

  • Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Working Conditions :

  • Standard office environment

  • Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail.

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.

  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes.Sitting: 90% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

  • Lifting (in pounds): up to 10 pounds

  • Pushing (in pounds): up to 10 pounds

  • Mental/Visual: use of computer, calculator, filing cabinets

  • Workspace (line, cube, etc): cubicle/desk
