Opportunity Overview

As a Customer Production Support Engineer, you will play an active role to ensure Teradyne’s commitment to deliver to our customers products that meet their needs. You will collaborate with customers and various teams to create and implement support plans for system installation, training and maintenance with the objective of reducing equipment downtime. You will continue to develop relationships and add value to your customers by providing technical expertise in solving customer problems.

  • Lead projects in the areas of system installation, calibration, retrofit, and training

  • Develop relations with your customers by actively providing technical support for issue prevention and problem resolution

  • Play an active role in transferring the needed application knowledge from the specifier team into the customer production support team during the release phase

  • Collaborate with internal and external resources on application and production issues activities

  • Work with customers on production issues, usage, and system improvements

  • Work with Sales team and Factory for account and company goals

  • Work to application engineer colleagues for application related issues that may requires hardware support

  • Provide technical support at customer sites such as the following activities:

  • System Repair

  • New system installation or transfer

  • Customer system upgrade or retrofit

  • Conduct Basic maintenance trainings and production support classes (may also conduct at Teradyne offices where system is available)

  • Provide phone, email, and remote support to customers.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in test engineering or product engineering; experience in semiconductor testing environment preferred

  • Prior experience working directly with customers for technical problem resolution

  • Prior programming experience with Visual Basic, Windows NT, C, C+

    • Prior experience with Teradyne or other ATE platforms preferred (e.g. Teradyne IG-XL, Eagle Test Systems, Nextest Magnum)
  • Prior experience with handler/prober HW docking integration preferred

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
