Honeywell Field Service Engineer I in Chandler, Arizona

As a Field Service Engineer I, you will be responsible for Toxic Gas Monitoring Systems (TGMS) equipment installations and service within the Honeywell Industrial Safety business unit, Gas Detection business. You will provide both preventive and reactive service response based on established process, controls, and team workflow. You will not only maintain current equipment to manufacturer standards but will be a part of commissioning new equipment as needed.

You will represent Honeywell and will interact with several contacts within our Customer’s organization including end-users. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives in the processes related to field service and product development. You will support cross-functional groups to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. You will act as an escalation point for Field Service Specialists, Service Engineers, and other stakeholders.

You will report to our customer site located in Chandler, AZ at the Intel Ocotillo facility. In addition, you must be available to travel 10-20% of the time, as needed.

The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install gas detection systems such as electrochemical, catalytic bead, and infrared or Repair Work Orders.

  • Start up and commissioning of technical equipment.

  • Validate customer request.

  • Educate customer and field technicians.

  • Write documentation used by field technicians.

  • Maintenance faults in an expedited manner to return equipment to fully operational mode.

  • Orders all parts and maintain stocking for both consumable and non-consumable items.

  • Provide Customer Support to on-site point of contact.

  • Be available for occasional emergency calls after hours, including weekends and holidays on rotational basis.

  • Work in a team environment.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ year’s Manufacturing Technical Installations or engineering (electrical or mechanical devices).

  • Valid Driver’s License.
