Summary: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Phoenix Metro, AZ. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering, with a focus on industrial, medical, mechanical, and semiconductor projects. As a Mechanical Project Engineer at JH Kelly, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn, follow, and promote Company safety and quality protocols
Lead and manage mechanical projects, from initial concept and design through construction and commissioning, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and review mechanical design concepts, calculations, and drawings. Ensure designs meet industry standards and client requirements.
Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment required for projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
Implement and maintain quality control and assurance processes to ensure that projects meet or exceed established quality standards.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, to ensure seamless project execution.
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.
Ensure that all project activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, promoting a culture of safety within the project team.
Relationships:
Maintain proactive and positive relationships within the crafts:
- Including shop and field craft personnel; and supervision coworkers
- Maintain proactive and positive relationships with:
Customer representatives
Vendors, Suppliers and Subcontractors
Safety, CAD/BIM, Accounting, and IT
All Project Teams
Perform additional tasks as assigned
Experience / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering, with a focus on industrial, mechanical, medical, and semiconductor projects.
Knowledge of model-based design.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
Understanding of industry-specific regulations and standards.
Ability to travel to project sites as required.

Benefits Package:
Compensation: $35-$55 per hour (DOE), FLSA non-exempt (OT eligible).
