Insight Global Sr. Production Planner in Chandler, Arizona
Job Description
Your role and responsibilities:
Maintain and support the site Master Schedule production of each manufacturing area in SAP. Maintains status over orders in process to remain informed of manufacturing stage and, when needed, initiates the necessary steps to maintain conformity with schedules.
Participates in planning and establishing overall production objectives with consideration given to existing workload, orders, stock, parts requirements, shipping dates, and sales forecasts.
Coordinates manufacturing order management, interfacing with Customer Service/Sales to turn customer orders and forecasts into manufacturing orders, determine quantity and batch size of all orders and monitor finished goods inventory.
Issue the Production Orders to the area to match the schedule.
Update Gemba board in each area daily on schedules completed and complete monthly KPIs on each area schedule attainment.
Process Purchase Requisitions for raw material requirements while ensuring raw material is available to meet schedule.
Coordinates schedules with other departments for lead-time required for procurement of tools and materials, subcontracting, to avoid costly delay, customer dissatisfaction, and complaints, as directed by the Planner/Buyer. Manage Kanban and order requirements for production area consumables to meet schedules.
Ensure WIP pipeline is healthy to support forecast delivery plan

Skills and Requirements
What is required for this role:
Bachelor of Science is strongly preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in materials management, planning and/or purchasing in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience with MRP and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, just in time or pull supply systems, using real time computer scheduling system required.
Capacity Planning
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software required.
Knowledge of SAP preferred. null
