Responsibilities
As the DevSecOps Systems Engineer, you will help identify and plan new capabilities to support mission operations. The DevSecOps Systems Engineer should have expertise across the digital engineering spectrum including modeling, strategic planning, system integration and “system-of-systems", user-centric design.
Provide technical leadership in applying DevSecOps concepts, processes, and tools to help the government plan and define capabilities needed to better support mission operations (e.g., automation, security compliance, situational awareness, etc.).
Analyze user needs, concept of operations, and high-level systems architectures to develop system requirements and test-driven development.
Define CI/CD delivery standards and conventions to ensure quality and compliance with security measures (NIST Risk Management Framework) and streamline onboarding of applications.
Guide the configuration of CI/CD pipeline setup and support/resolve technical complexities to integrate various DevSecOps continuous practices as part of the implementation.
Recommend and implement automated means that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including scripting, integration, problem resolution, and configuration management.
Build relationships with developers, stakeholders, and leaders to incorporate security principles into engineering design and deployments.
Define maturity models or assessment approaches to measure and accelerate DevSecOps adoption across multiple teams.
Identify and communicate system engineering risks, issues, opportunities, assumptions, mitigations, and dependencies.
Provide technical support to government points of contact.
Effectively communicate and interface with engineers from various contractors and government organizations.
Develop briefings for a variety of audiences, conveying system engineering concepts and decision logic concisely and accurately.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly.
Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar STEM field and nine (9)years or more experience; relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
4+ years of experience with DevSecOps and tools.
2+ years’ experience working within the IC.
Experience with systems development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevSecOps).
Knowledge of Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Experience with CONOPS requirements development, interface control documentation, technical specification review, architecture development.
Program lifecycle experience from concept development and design to deployment, operations, and maintenance, decommission.
Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements with limited supervision; excels at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics.
Ability to provide technical and programmatic direction on the development, integration, and use of digital engineering/model-based engineering and model-based systems engineering concepts and structures.
Polished communicator (written/verbal); impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment.
Master at collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders -- consensus builder.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MS Outlook, MS Project.
