Job Summary

We are currently seeking a National Security Division Manager to lead a Division in our Cyber Business Line. The position is based in Chantilly, VA with occasional travel to Columbus, OH, Huntsville, AL and client sites. The expectations for this position are managing Division operations, ensuring program excellence, developing strategy, and capturing new business.

  • Contribute to the development of and execute business strategies and plans.

  • Collaborate across Cyber divisions to exceed customer expectations and business line financial commitments.

  • Establish and/or lead capture efforts to win new business aligned with business line and division strategies.

  • Manage a division of scientists, engineers, and technical experts; establish staff goals and appraise performance. Administer salaries, prepare staff development plans, and approve timecards. Manage work loading of the assigned staff members.

  • Manage technical quality, business ethics, and staff performance to attain highest quality products and services through the selection, training, development, and motivation of staff.

  • Ensure staff have necessary materials, equipment, and facilities to perform work.

Key Qualifications

  • B.S. Engineering degree from an accredited institution with at least 15 years of experience and 5+ years of project and capture management experience or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated excellence in building and supporting a team. Proven ability to lead others in the achievement of goals and create teams driven by initiative, innovation and vision.

  • Knowledge of tools and methods for project management, especially cost, schedule and scope performance. Ability to assess and take requisite action to address project risks and change requests.

  • Proven experience in leading business development and marketing programs worth $10+M annually that involve coordination across organization lines and technical disciplines.

  • Must be organized and detail oriented. Must be capable of ensuring that a wide range of different activities (technical, financial, business development, and administrative) are done on time and at a high quality.

  • Has a working knowledge of contractual issues relative to scope, terms, and conditions of the work and corresponding subcontracts/supply chain.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • A customer service focus and history of successful client interactions.

  • Must be willing to travel as required.

  • MUST be a U.S. Citizen with an active top-secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading cyber engineers and scientists supporting DoD and IC customers

  • Knowledge of government and industry contract work, especially leading proposal teams

  • PMP or Shipley certification
