Job Description Summary

The Warehouse 2nd Shift Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and leading all activities required for the Wiring department and Inventory/Warehouse teams. This position will be responsible for owning and leading SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) for all 2nd shift teams at the Warehouse building. This position will manage/coordinate the daily activities for the warehouse teams to help meet all customer requirements and business targets and goals.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing/warehouse employees.

  • Responsible for meeting production schedules, standards, and profitability.

  • Responsibility for daily and monthly production/inventory KPI reports.

  • Demonstrated success in developing/implementing continuous improvement initiatives and accountability programs; demonstrated success assessing, developing and retaining top talent; proven ability to drive process improvements, Kaizens, adhere to budgets, and maintain regulatory compliance; proven ability to lead: critical thinking, continuous cost focus, technical expertise, influence and delivery of sustainable results.

  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and oversees workflow.

  • Partners with quality team to analyzes and adjusts all errors produced from work area .

  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Responsible for the cost-effective use of human resources in the production process. Including the cost-effective use of overtime.

  • Ensure compliance with professional standards such as occupational health and safety and customer requirements

  • Ensures the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between and within the factory and warehouse.

  • Manage warehouse team members and supports coordinating materials and deliveries between the factory and the warehouse.

  • Assures all freight-related system (MRP) transaction occur on a timely basis.

  • Manage SAP/Inventory transactions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a comparable discipline and a minimum of 3 years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing)

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a supervisory role
