Job Purpose
The Assistant Director of Development is a professional fundraising position that will focus on generating financial support in all areas of the CofC Athletic Fund which include the Cougar Club Annual Fund, Sport Specific Donations, and Special Event Fundraisers. This position will be responsible for managing a portfolio of donors to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts that align with the Athletic Department strategies and objectives. Additionally, this position will work closely with the Assistant Athletic Director for Development in the fulfillment of all donor benefits such as premium seating, parking, hospitality and membership services.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university. A masters degree is preferred but not required. 1-3 years of experience in collegiate athletic development or related field. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven history of building lasting relationships with donors, prospects, fans and the public.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills ensuring the highest quality of customer service via phone, email, and in-person.
