Oracle OCI Cloud Architect in Charleston, West Virginia
Job Description
As the OCI Cloud Architect in the Industries Global Industry Unit (IGIU) Architecture Office, you will be responsible for successful application of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure principles to the products in the IGIU portfolio. IGIU is one of the largest Global Industry Units at Oracle and owns a variety of products of different origins, lifecycle stages and technical stacks - all moving towards one OCI-Native vision. As the Cloud Architect, the translation of that vision into the specific milestones for various existing products, as well as its application to new products, will be your job.
To be successful in this position, the following skills and experience are expected:
At least 10 years in a Senior Engineer / Architect role.
At least 5 years of System Design experience, specifically with cloud-native systems in a public cloud (OCI preferred).
Experience designing and implementing highly available multi-region systems.
Experience with high-compliance environments (government/sovereign cloud).
Ability to write high-quality technical documentation (in English) and understanding of compliance processes.
Ability to efficiently communicate and influence technical decisions across large groups.
Experience working in a technical role for executive leadership teams.

Responsibilities
Adopt and embrace the Oracle Cloud vision and the related business concepts.
Develop architecture patterns, frameworks and standards to apply the high-level concepts to the Global Industry Unit realities.
Analyze the architecture of existing products and work with the product teams to create and track the evolution roadmap that fits the larger Oracle Architecture direction.
Support teams starting new projects to ensure the right architectural choices.
Stay on top of the changes and the direction of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and continuously align the GIU architecture priorities with those.
Be the expert and the advocate for OCI at the Global Industry Unit level.

US: Hiring Range: from $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
