Landscape Laborer Job Duties:   Mowing, weed trimming, and raking or clean-up of leaves with blowers. Also, installation, pruning, and trimming of plants, trees, and shrubs. Placing and tilling dirt, mulch, compost, and sod. General landscape labor using landscape equipment for landscape installation and maintenance. Loading and unloading of materials and equipment. Lifting required up to 50 pounds. Work performed on local area jobsites with employer provided transportation to and from the jobsites from a centralized pickup location in the specified area of employment

No experience required. On the job training. No education required. $18.69-21.00/hr. based on experience and performance. $28.04-31.50/hr. O.T. Employer will offer 40 hours/wk. of work w/½ hour of lunch each workday, 7:30 a.m. -- 4:00 p.m., M-F, Some O.T. and weekends may be available, but is not guaranteed. 12 positions available for temporary, full-time, peak-load work. Dates of Employment Offered: 04/01/2025- 11/17/2025. Jobsites located in: Charlevoix, Emmet, Antrim, Grand Traverse, Cheboygan, Leelanau, Kalkaska, Otsego, Mackinac, and Benzie Counties. Assistance securing lodging is available. Optional low-cost housing is available for relocating workers only at $265.00 bi-weekly. Other benefits provided to U.S. and H2B workers are the following:  New employee sign-on bonus ($300 after worked 300 hours) and an additional $300 after worked an additional 300 hours.  End of season bonus based on company performance (may be available, but is not guaranteed), laundry equipment (washer/dryer provided), transportation, uniform allowance of $100.00 for work boots or rain gear. The employer will make all deductions required by law from each paycheck. Additional deductions include: If optional low-cost housing selected - $265.00 deducted bi-weekly. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. H2B workers will be reimbursed by check for visa and related fees in the first workweek. The employer will provide, without charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job duties. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least ¾ of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period of the total employment period.
