Description Robert Half is trying to fill an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position with an organization that offers a stimulating work environment among a team of experienced, motivated professionals. In this position, you will be required to manage all general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. You will work closely and report to the Accounting Manager. The candidate will primarily focus on matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening.

What you get to do every day

  • Produce full-cycle A/P

  • Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

  • Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

  • Execute additional tasks as needed

  • Assist with internal and external audits as needed

  • Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

  • Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

  • Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents

  • Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time Requirements - Deep understanding of 10 Key Accounting

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • Customer invoices experience required

  • Adeptness in Issue Resolution

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Issue Resolution

  • Foundational knowledge in Coding Invoices

  • SAP experience highly desired

  • Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

  • Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

  • Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
