JOB SUMMARY
Install all conduit, wiring, panels, and devices associated with the building automation and energy management systems for commercial and industrial clients. Terminate all devices in the field and at the panel. Assist Field Engineers and/or Automation Engineering Technician with point-to-point checkout, troubleshooting minor issues, downloading and commissioning programs, and in completing punch items.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist project team as required with wiring, conduit installation, device installation, panel installation, panel wiring, device terminations, testing and start-up.
Provide technical direction and support to fellow team members.
Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communication with the customer, team members and other parties.
Coordination with mechanical and other trades during projects.
Prepare schematic drawings, sketches and reports to reflect changes or alterations made to instruments, circuits, and systems.
Interpret HVAC mechanical plans and specifications as related.
Develop the skills needed to download and commission controllers.
Perform Point-To-Point Checkout utilizing PC and/or meters.
Complete all work each day in a safe manner.
Coordinate onsite activities with the team of installers or subcontractors.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must have a good understanding of commercial/industrial controls systems. Familiarity with the concepts of new construction, renovation/retrofit, and project management is a plus. 1-3 years of work experience with HVAC Controls or other Building Managements systems would be a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver’s License required. Other BMS Certifications are a plus. i.e. Continuum, Stuxureware, Niagara AX, etc. Electrical Certifications are a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to climb ladders, lift and carry 50 or more pounds, distinguish colors for electrical work, and tolerate confined spaces. Work will involve heights and/or seasonal temperature extremes such as excessive cold or heat. Must be able to work in confined, cramped, or tight spaces. Work may often require exposure to dust, dirt, common allergens, refrigerants, or other potentially hazardous conditions.
