Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

The Commercial Banking Data Enablement Leader is a critical role reporting to the Head of Data Strategy & Enablement. Through direct partnership with Data Management & Insights (DMI) & Wells Fargo Technology, He/She will lead the efforts to bring visibility and resolution to a number of data enablement challenges that exist across the lines of business to ensure more effective delivery of information to LOB’s, transformation, & risk.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Consult Lines of Business to identify, prioritize, and define business requirements

• Work in partnership with DMI (Data Management & Insights), EIT , & Architecture to determine, maintain and implement strategic roadmap for data availability needs to support the delivery of Commercial Banking Strategic and Transformational needs

• Clearly and frequently communicate status and issues to clients on multiple projects to ensure expectations are met

• Drive Sprints / Lead Scrum teams on prioritized business data availability needs

• Identify and recommend sources, perform data assessment and profile of the data from multiple, cross business sources.

• Collaborates horizontally across Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking LOB’s to ensure accuracy and integrity of the data from the platforms used to assess business performance and identify growth strategies

• Works with LOB’s to understand how they are utilizing data (both internal and external) to identify best practices and provide feedback to DMI & EIT on potential changes to enhance overall data environment

• Develops metrics and tracks/evaluates performance of programs, services and initiatives. Ensures plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations

• Provide guidance to less experienced team members.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services

  • 5+ years of leadership experience
