As part of theCommercial Solution Areas -Support Servicessalesorganization, we are seekinga Director, Business Development Management, Support Solutions with specialized focus on Modern Workplace and Security. As a core member of Support Services team, the Business Development Manager works closely with Solution Strategy Lead, Modern Workplace and Security Service Line Leadership, Marketing, area, regional, and global leadership teams to spearhead and activate Support strategy and landing of joint co-selling motions with Solution Areas, programs, and initiatives to drive growth of the Support revenue.

The BDM is accountable for driving programs and initiatives worldwide in close partnership with Support BG, Modern Workplace/SCI BG, and sales leaders across the globe. The goals include driving wallet share growth, promoting the Solution + Support motion in a programmatic approach, reducing time to market for cross-selling with Solution Areas, growing pipeline through demand generation activities, contributing to key customer wins and evolving cross-solution selling models.

Partnering with colleagues in corporate leadership roles in Support Offerings, Support Sales HQ and Support Sales Leaders in A14, this role will be critical in defining the right field model to accelerate our growth in the Support businessofferings with focus on Unified, Cloud Acceleratorsand Enhanced Solutions. Thisfunctional leader will be an advocate and the change agent for the field and will represent the voice of the field and customers across our corporate functions.

With special focus on the US area, the BDM is accountable for driving Enterprise and SMC landing of Support motions, demand generation to ensure qualified pipeline coverage and achieve business goals for Support in MSUS.

As part of the broader Support Services team within Commercial Solution Areas, you will be the key to create and successfully land strategic sales programs and enable the business growth of Support Services sales primarily in the Microsoft US (MSUS) area.

Responsibilities

Drive impact through “Solutions + Support” aligned strategy and execution of initiatives within Modern Workplace and Security space and ensure that Support is truly integrated throughout the customer life cycle and with Microsoft Cloud offerings

Influence revenue growth of Support by landing key sales programs, demand generation activities and integrated sales motions

Lead the change in field, be the ambassador for the Support across WW communities

Deliver results and be accountable for business performance related to programs and integration of Support sales

Be dynamic, passionate, self-motivated, confident in working with senior leaders and comfortable in a matrix organization.

Your responsibilities:

Embed Support Services into Support and Solution Area mainstream motions, work cross-org across teams to co-create integrated offerings and GTM

Ensure landing of offerings and readiness across Area-based STU, CSU and M&O teams for cross-solutions in alignment with WCB and BG direction, leverage all muscles of the organization to develop world-class enablement

Drive results through demand generation and opportunity acceleration in the Areas

Influence sales execution landing and demonstrate direct impact of GTM activities through accelerated pipeline increase driven by Solution Area cross-sell revenue

Provide insights and drive analysis capabilities across the Support Services sales and marketing motions

Be the voice of the field, partner and customers providing insights through key forums and channels to maximize institutional knowledge and organizational agility across sales, marketing, customer success, partner and offering teams

Drive results with respect to revenue targets by working with the Areas Sales Leadership in Microsoft US (MSUS)

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years’ experience in business development, sales, consulting, or marketing

OR equivalent experience.

3+ years project leadership/management experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Law, or related field AND 8+ years’ experience in business development, sales, consulting, or marketing

OR equivalent experience.

5+ years’ experience working in a matrixed organization, preferably in the technology industry.

5+ years project leadership/management experience.

8+ years’ experience in a related business/ functional domain, knowledge of the enterprise selling ecosystems and field sales organization

3+ years’ experience in one of the following: Modern Workplace, Security, Azure, BizApps or equivalent.

This role will be based in the US, with approximately 25% travel expected (post COVID).
