Summary: The Content Marketing Strategist (Corporate) is responsible for planning, creating, implementing, optimizing, and monitoring the company's strategy regarding website, Google My Business, and social media content. This position's main objectives are to increase brand awareness, increase engagement with our brand and ultimately create visibility for the company's profit centers.

This role is centered on setting corporate content strategy and brand positioning, along with content generation and support, distribution planning, ongoing management of Hendrick corporate social media channels, Corporate YouTube, blogging platforms (HendrickCars.com), and support of store-owned social channels.

This role also requires a creative approach in aligning copy and media to our brand, ensuring the voice and style of any assets represent Hendrick Automotive Group appropriately.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties can be assigned.

  • This role is a teammate in the Hendrick Automotive Group Marketing Department.

  • Establish corporate online brand voice, positioning, and content strategy.

  • Build and maintain the corporate social channel’s content calendars and distribute content effectively.

  • Support regular content updates across brand platforms including, but not limited to, blogs, social channels, Google My Business, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.

  • Foster a sense of community around the brand through interaction with followers

  • Monitor and report on social media metrics by analyzing the performance of campaigns and prepare recommendations to optimize strategies.

  • Ideate and produce content around brand campaigns, new and used inventory, sports sponsorships, etc.

  • Assist in creative recommendations, proofing, and edits of media assets as needed

  • Support key brand standards for maintaining continuity in our Hendrick brand image and customer experience across our online presence

  • Stay up to date with marketing trends, platform updates, and user interface enhancements for social channels

  • Ability to work independently and within a team. Hendrick Automotive Group prides itself on working together on all projects supporting our stores.

  • Foster strong relationships with key dealership and corporate personnel

  • Proactively look for opportunities in dealership marketing areas to grow their business

  • Travel required as needed to support our dealership operations

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or business management

  • 3+ years of hands-on social media experience with a brand or agency

  • Deep understanding of top social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok

  • Ability to balance multiple work streams and prioritize tasks

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills

  • Detail-oriented and organized

  • Ability to make quick decisions

  • Highly motivated and collaborative with a willingness to learn/adapt to the needs of automotive retail

  • Ability to think both creatively and strategically

  • Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines and shift deliverables as needed

  • Fun, friendly, positive team player who is open to receiving and executing feedback

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees. Should have strong group presentation skills and excellent written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, RFPs, and procedure manuals.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. The ability to research, analyze, and matrix different business and demographic data types.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, and sit.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Environment Demands:

Duties are performed primarily in the office, but frequent travel to dealership locations is required.
