Please review the following job description:

Senior-level systems consultant responsible for development and delivery of new complex and maintenance of existing complex technological solutions to automate incentive plans, calculations and payments on platforms such as Varicent in order to meet strategic HR and corporate business objectives. Analyze, design, configure, test and document these technological solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Apply ample business and technological expertise in consulting with business partners and project teams to understand needs and requirements. Serve as the subject matter expert and provide recommendations for effective technological solutions.

  2. Analyze business requirements and translate into technical requirements.

  3. Develop and maintain documentation of complex technological solutions and implementation requirements.

  4. Collaborate with business and internal ET partners to develop requirements to extract and transform data from various sources within the organizations technical framework.

  5. Configure incentive compensation management systems such as Varicent with scalable, flexible and maintainable processes and solutions which support the business rules of incentive compensation plans.

  6. Perform quality assurance testing of system configuration and modifications to data input and output processes to ensure end-to-end data integrity.

  7. Provide timely response to assess and analyze complex issues and technical problems. Determine root causes and recommend appropriate process or system changes to avoid future issues.

  8. Ensure compliance with SOX, established business policies and procedures, system security and change management processes.

  9. Provide process definition and best practices leadership that fosters efficiency, effectiveness and flexibility in systems design and implementation to maximize system value.

  10. Indirectly lead and manage resources in the analysis, development, delivery and ongoing support of systems and processes to ensure systems/business processes are working as designed. Provide training and mentoring of less experienced team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science and/or equivalent work experience

  2. Broad and in-depth knowledge in human resources information technology to include process and application design, configuration, implementation, integration and testing or equivalent experience and working knowledge in multiple functional areas including HR, Payroll, Compensation Administration, and Incentive Compensation Management

  3. 5 years of experience configuring within Varicent, Motivator, and/or an equivalent incentive compensation management system

  4. 2 years of full end-to-end SDLC experience, including gathering, documenting, and flowcharting technical and business requirements, and leading design and testing initiatives

  5. Highly effective organizational skills and time management in order to manage multiple projects and deadlines

  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to express complex technical and business concepts in terms that are understandable to all levels within the business unit, technical unit, and corporate management

  7. Demonstrated ability to write complex logical queries to facilitate calculations and reporting and to create complex formulas in Microsoft Excel

  8. Experience leading automation efforts with HR applications such as Workday or Varicent

  9. Ability to initiate action, adapt to change, make difficult decisions and accept challenging assignments and special projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Six Sigma Green Belt, CQIA, or similar process improvement certification

  2. Experience building relational databases

  3. Experience working in Financial Services

  4. Experience working in an Agile environment
