Description

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Help Desk Support professional to join our dynamic team. The IT Help Desk Support role is critical in providing technical assistance and support to end-users experiencing computer hardware, software, and networking issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users via phone, email, chat, or in person.

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to computer hardware, software applications, operating systems, and peripherals.

  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate IT support teams or vendors for further investigation and resolution.

  • Install, configure, and update software applications, operating systems, and security patches as needed.

  • Set up and maintain user accounts, email accounts, and access permissions in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Assist with user onboarding and offboarding processes, including provisioning and decommissioning of IT equipment and access rights.

  • Document and maintain records of support requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps in the IT ticketing system.

  • Communicate technical information and instructions clearly and effectively to non-technical users.

  • Collaborate with other members of the IT team to identify recurring issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency and user experience.

  • Stay informed about technology trends and best practices in IT support and customer service.

Work Environment:

The IT Help Desk Support role typically operates in an office environment, providing remote and on-site support to end-users. Occasional travel to different office locations may be required. The position may involve occasional work outside of standard business hours to provide support during scheduled maintenance or in response to critical issues.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably in an IT help desk or service desk environment.

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems (Windows and/or macOS), and productivity applications.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Outstanding customer service skills and a positive attitude towards helping end-users with varying levels of technical expertise.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

  • Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework and IT service management best practices is a plus.

  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are desirable but not required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
