Wells Fargo Lead Software Engineer in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer. The Lead Software Engineer (LSE) will have a technical role in the team responsible for design & development test plans and test automation software. This LSE will actively contribute to all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) from requirement gathering, design, development, testing and overall technical design, development using - Java, Selenium, WebDriver, Jenkins, API, CI/CD, DevOps tools, Postman along with other technology and integration tools. The success of the role will require focusing on delivering the solution per requirements with a quick turnaround time and yet without any compromise on quality. This role will need a strong ability to work independently to complete design, development, and testing tasks as we are developing partnerships and working closely with business teams, and technology groups to ensure delivery per requirements and alignment with technology standards and best practices.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact

  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs

  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors

  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.

  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.

  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years of application development and/or testing experience

  • 3+ years of experience performing a BA or QA role

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with various types of software testing including - scenario &, regression testing

  • 2+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience as a QA automation engineer using Selenium/Java

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with QA automation tools like TestNG, REST Assured & Postman

  • 2+ years of experience with concepts like TDD & BDD

  • 2+ years hands-on experience with testing vendor/COTS software like RSA Archer

  • 2+ years of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) concepts

  • 2+ years of experience setting up CI/CD and DevOps pipelines using tools like Jenkins

  • 2+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services

  • Hands-on development using Java, Selenium, WebDriver

  • Ability to quickly create test cases and scenarios based on requirements

  • Document and present test cases and test output to product owner

  • Automate test execution schedules through Jenkins

  • Work closely with technology managers, product owners, developers and other testers to design, implement, build and test the solution

  • Analyzes complex requirements and translates to technical design and specifications

  • Work on complex problems where analysis of data requires a solid grasp of compliance, regulatory and technology risk domains.

  • Understanding of Wells Fargo and EIT integration patterns, architecture and systems

  • Work closely with project and other technology teams to understand requirements and overall architecture of the solution
