Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Material Handler (Day Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $19.28 - $28.92 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
HOURS: 5:30AM - 2PM

What you’ll do:
The Material Handler in assembly is responsible for staging material and leading changeovers to maintain continuous flow and ensure adherence to production schedules.
Perform daily counting of parts and see that materials are stored and organized to ensure conformance with 5S standards.
Update visual metrics, track and report assembly issues and errors to appropriate contacts, and problem solve to improve production flow.
Participate in the execution and improvement of 5S and housekeeping, provide line training, and fill in gaps on the production line as needed.
Adhere to all facility safety guidelines and encourage communication and participation of personnel to further identify and reduce/eliminate potential hazards.
Support and adhere to all facility environmental guidelines and procedures to identify additional pollution prevention projects to reduce waste and raw material consumption.
Be responsible for organization and cleanliness of the work area, and will support and abide by all procedures set forth to assure product and process quality and support plant manufacturing principles.

Basic Qualifications:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Charlotte, NC will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Minimum of one (1) year forklift experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school degree/GED from an accredited institution
Position Criteria:
Must be motivated and have high energy, and the ability to work well with others.
Possess good communication, organizational, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills.
Must be able to maintain material flow for assigned line(s), read blueprints and BOMs, understand standard work, set up cells and tooling, and investigate production failures and take necessary corrective action.
