About this role
Commercial HVAC Operations – Chiller production line (air-cooled) is searching for a Materials Planner. The Materials Planner takes responsibility for the supply and demand planning process; make moderate improvements to systems and processes to enhance performance; and work with suppliers and internal teams to meet customer requirements and KPIs.
The Materials Planner will work onsite at our Charlotte facility. Working hours are 7:30 am to 5:00 pm weekdays.
This position is a great opportunity for a veteran to utilize previous materials planning skills.

Key Responsibilities
Develop strategies for materials planning and Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP)
Improve standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP
Optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery
Identify appropriate demand streams and establishes data relationship linkages
Collaborate with product development leaders, sales and marketing teams to develop demand forecasts
Accountable for planning capacity and fulfillment demand with plant manufacturing operations
Work with manufacturing team and develop monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters
Identify and develop new technologies to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability, and reliability
Track appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement
Responsible for the implementation of processes and plans to improve supply capabilities
Establish clear and robust metrics to measure progress through process improvements for SIOP
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of material planning or buying experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Leadership and cross-functional experience
Analytical skills
Verbal and written English communication skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Demonstrated project management skills
SAP
Communicate and interact with international vendors
Work cohesively with various departments and outside vendors
