Description We are in search of a Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in the local government sector, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28269, United States. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and executing medical billing and coding activities.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process medical billing and coding tasks, with a focus on ICD 10 coding

• Manage and maintain precise customer credit records and applications

• Efficiently handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise

• Monitor customer accounts and perform necessary follow-up actions to ensure compliance

• Utilize Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) in carrying out tasks

• Ensure the effective use of EHR SYSTEM and Epaces in managing customer records

• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) operations and execute appeals as needed

• Perform various benefit and billing functions as required by the role

• Administer claim administration tasks effectively

• Utilize your skills in medical billing and coding to enhance the efficiency of our operations. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE), EHR SYSTEM, and Epaces.

• Extensive experience in Accounts Receivable (AR), Appeals, Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, and Claim Administration.

• Knowledge of local government practices related to medical billing.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve billing discrepancies.

• Strong understanding of medical coding and billing procedures.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with local government regulations.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.

• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong computer skills, including the ability to use billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
