Join our dynamic Accounting Department, where teamwork and versatility define our approach. We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Staff Accountant to directly support our Corporate Controller. The salary for this position ranges from $68,000 to $70,000, commensurate with experience. The Senior Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in enhancing our accounting operations and providing essential support to our management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end closing activities, including analysis of liability, asset, and capital accounts.- Prepare and summarize financial reports and transaction statuses.- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting initiatives.- Generate monthly customer invoices and oversee accounts receivable collections.- Compile and submit time and attendance data for external payroll processing.- Conduct monthly bank account reconciliations.- Evaluate and propose improvements to accounting systems and procedures.- Assist in setting departmental goals and objectives.- Supervise tasks and responsibilities of staff accountants and accounting assistants.- Contribute to the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.- Collaborate with other departments and cross-functional teams to deliver value-added services.- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills - Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and meet established deadlines

  • Determination to take ownership of projects and find constructive solutions

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills / attention to detail / accuracy / organization

  • Trains and mentors junior staff

  • Recent intermediate to advanced QuickBooks experience.

    Training & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in an Accounting Department with professional level responsibilities

  • Minimum of 5 years team leadership experience

  • Recent intermediate to advanced QuickBooks experience.

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience with Paycom payroll processing is a plus

  • Experience on systems analysis is a plus
