What we are Looking for – Scope of Role

The Senior Manager – Virtual Sales will lead and manage a team of Virtual Sales Managers (Inside Sellers) to achieve revenue objectives across assigned Dentsply Sirona business units (BUs) and product categories. This Area Leadership role requires developing strategies to maximize revenue, driving team performance, and empowering managers to support their virtual sales teams in prospecting, cultivating, and closing business in collaboration with Dentsply Sirona’s direct organization or distributors.

What Will you Do – Responsibilities for Employment

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Virtual Sales Managers, fostering leadership skills and effective team management.

  • Design, maintain, and deliver performance reports (weekly, quarterly, and annual) for Virtual Sales Managers. Establish goals and measure team progress against established metrics (KPI’s).

  • Drive and deliver sales targets by setting clear objectives, monitoring team performance, and holding team members accountable for achieving results. Implement strategic initiatives to optimize sales processes, increase revenue, and ensure consistent attainment of key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Run and manage sales cadences focused on core metrics such as revenue attainment, pipeline development, and opportunity identification.

  • Partner closely with Field Sales Leadership to align strategies, share insights, and coordinate efforts to maximize sales opportunities and ensure a seamless customer experience. Collaborate on joint initiatives to drive revenue growth and maintain a unified approach across both virtual and field sales teams.

  • Drive the adoption of best practices across the team.

  • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction, as measured by annual surveys and employee engagement.

  • Communicate customer feedback to Sales and Marketing leadership to generate ideas for new features, products, competitive intelligence, or address customer concerns.

  • Evaluate the lead-management process alongside Marketing and Sales leadership for continuous improvement between Marketing, Virtual Sales, and Field Sales teams.

  • Stay informed on sales analytics, customer communication methods, and industry trends; lead continuous improvement initiatives in response to market changes.

  • Participate in the interview process and lead new hire training for Virtual Sales Managers.

  • Help shape the overall culture and tone for the Virtual Sales organization within DS.

Who You Are – Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role managing sales managers, with a proven track record of success, is preferred.

  • 5-10 years of experience in virtual or field sales.

  • Demonstrated success in achieving quotas as a seller/manager and in fostering a culture of inclusion and collaboration.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Must be located in the Charlotte Metro, NC area.

  • Ability to travel up to 30%

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, speak, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, see listen and type.

Environmental Requirements

Work primarily performed in an office environment. The noise level is usually moderate with limited temperature fluctuations. May require travel using different forms of transportation.
