In this role, you will:

The Software Test Automation Engineering Senior Manager will drive the test automation engineering strategy, implementation, execution, and ongoing maturity for the Auto line of business (LOB). They will be the evangelist of a Quality Engineering Culture. This position will be expected to have deep software engineering and devops expertise with hands-on coding and automation ability. The expectation also is that they learn/understand the technology landscape of the LOB and enterprise.

  • Ensure identified test automation approach, frameworks, tools, and solutions are strategically aligned to overall objectives of the LOB.

  • Support procurement/setup of infrastructure for quality engineering practices including tools, environments, and test data strategy.

  • Develop end-to-end testing strategies connected to automation strategies.

  • Define and track test metrics, including code coverage, quality, and performance.

  • Coordinate and execute regression testing, test automation, performance testing, functionality, and usability testing.

  • Develop, update, and maintain quality testing standards and procedures.

  • Develop test plans with entry/exit criteria in agile operating model.

  • Lead a team of automation testers and manage testing processes questions and issues.

  • Facilitate team knowledge building and upskilling/cross skilling with respect to approved test automation tools, frameworks, and approaches.

  • Embed test automation within CI/CD pipeline processes and tools.

  • Drive high standards for teams' Definition of Done and Definition of Ready that include proper automation, testing practices, Non-Functional Requirements (NFR's), Security, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

  • 3+ years of Management experience

  • 4+ years experience with test automation methodologies, frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Playwright, WebDriver.IO, ACCELQ, AssertThat

  • Experienced in quality engineering practices like Unit testing, TDD, Code review, Secure coding practices, Code Quality, Code Coverage, CI/CD.

  • 2+ years experience with Behavior Driven Development methodology.

  • 4+years experience programming languages like JAVA, .NET and JavaScript.

  • Working knowledge of DevOps methodologies, tools like Jira, GitHub, Jenkins, Gradle, SonarQube, CheckMarx, uDeploy and cloud platforms like GCP, PCF and Azure.

Desired Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related area of focus.

  • Banking domain knowledge.

  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban and LeSS.

  • Prior experience implementing test automation solutions in a dynamic, complex, and scaled environment
