Description Bring your accounting experience and know-how to a dynamic, growing team at Robert Half, now seeking a permanent Senior Accountant in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities
Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary Requirements
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
Month end closings experience
Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP Accounting
Financial reconciliation experience required
Accruals experience preferred
Proficiency in journal entries
Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Current and relevant ERP system experience
