We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide range of financial operations, including fee calculations, journal entry preparation, and balance sheet reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a keen ability to analyze large datasets. Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Perform Foodbuy LLC fee calculations, splits review, and volume allowance (VA) QC
Prepare and park journal entries to capture routine and non-routine Foodbuy transactions
Review, analyze, and log new Member contracts and amendments. Align with the Onboarding, Account Managers, Member Experiences, and other teams to ensure timely and accurate payout of and accounting for the Member incentives
Collaborate with Capital Assets and Finance teams to set intangible capital assets and their amortization per the Member contracts
Process AP invoices and manual invoices requests
Perform routine and ad hoc research on the Foodbuy and Member revenue data and document findings
Reconcile assigned Balance Sheet general ledger accounts and research variances
Manage Foodbuy general inbox and ensure timely response to all inquiries
Provide excellent customer service to the internal and external clients through timely, comprehensive, and courteous communication
Review and challenge current processes to identify areas of improvement
Contribute to special projects as needed
Quali?cations:
Accounting experience - 1 year minimum
Experience with month-end close, including complex accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
Experience manipulating and analyzing large volumes of data
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, sumifs, and match formulas)
Experience with SAP, Supply Chain, and Power BI preferred
Experience with a large company preferred (> $3 billion sales)
Detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proven collaborative skills, ability to drive results, and customer-service attitude
Proven ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines
CPA candidate is a plus
