About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Test Automation Engineer as part of technology in Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) within the Critical Payments Platform (CPP) team who will build and maintain high-quality and scalable software solutions. This engineer will also adhere to and enforce best practices and contribute to application management activities such as business continuity, SDLC activities, technical refresh support, important application enhancements, platform releases, patching, vulnerabilities, and system management support for technology mandates within an Agile environment.
In this role, you will:
Leverages appropriate tools for the purpose of software engineering
Applies basic level of understanding in gathering and analyzing requirements to translate requirements into test cases for complex testing projects
Develop Java-based automation tests, writes simple java code with guidance
Plans, codes, implements and reports automation testing and improves automation coverage in the overall testing plans
Logs, tracks and verifies resolution of software and system defects
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Acts as a liaison to engage developers to actively participate in identification of test scripts
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Test automation experience and executing tests in a complex, highly integrated environment
Working in an Agile Software Development environment
Knowledge and understanding of Java programming language
Experience with Selenium
Knowledge and understanding automation test concepts and practices and tools
Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
Git or GitHub experience
Cloud Certification
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment

Banking or financial services experience
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Job Expectations:
Ability to work onsite at the posted location
