The Hartford Data Science team relies heavily on its vendor partners to not only develop and deploy new solutions to business problems but also to ensure productionized assets remain consistently performant. Our work serves a variety of functions and business use cases including but not limited to underwriting, claims, operations, risk engineering, third party data and digital analytics and our teams and scopes of responsibility are growing.
To help ensure both our onshore and offshore partners are performing at or above expected levels we are seeking a Vendor Relationship Manager. The ideal candidate will be familiar with working within a matrix like organization supporting multiple customers and interacting with multiple groups of offshore vendors. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be adept at communication with all organizational elements combining a keen eye for detail with the ability to motivate and support vendor resources.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business-oriented field
Two years’ experience managing or leading teams, preferably teams of offshore resources
Familiarity with the concept of vendor scorecards and service levels
Vendor management experience
Insurance expertise – P&C and/or Group Benefits
Experience working within Data Science teams
Training and development experience
Quality Assurance/Management experience
Ability to adhere and mange to a schedule that adhere to contractual KPI’s and reviews.
Ability to present informed vendor performance reports on Monthly and quarterly basis
Develop agenda for maintaining vendor resource knowledge
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees.
