The Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for leading the engineering technician team.

This position is part of the Reagent Production Operations located in Chaska, Minnesota and will be onsite. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Manufacturing Engineering Team and report to the Process Engineering Manager responsible for the design, implementation and support of manufacturing processes, and equipment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide performance appraisal, coaching, and feedback.

  • Ensure manufacturing equipment is maintained with the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program and oversee our spare parts strategy and work order requests.

  • Monitor equipment and chart course for continuous improvement of OEE, as well as monitor maintenance processes for compliance with Company, FDA, ISO, OSHA, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s engineering degree with 5+ years’ experience, or master’s degree with 3+ years’ experience.

  • People Leadership experience (directly or indirectly) and ability to motivate others to work as a team toward a common goal.

  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting experience with automated equipment

  • Knowledgeable at reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics

  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to interact with other departments.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Knowledge of CAD/PLCs/HMIs

  • Validation/Verification Experience

  • Experience in a regulated industry preferred (e.g. FDA, ISO)

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
