The Senior Sourcing Procurement Analyst for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the planning, organizing, and execution of strategic and tactical procurement activities for direct purchases across multiple commodities within the guidelines of Beckman Coulter Inc, policies and procedures while supporting the operational and financial goals and objectives of the Company and maintaining the highest ethical standards.

You will specifically contribute to VAVE development initiatives, lead integration of appropriate supplier base and provide Sourcing direction on hardware and consumables projects. This person has an internal drive to achieve lowest cost of our products and align our Sourcing Plans with our Corporate Global Commodity Strategies. This role will possess strong negotiating skills, contract management and supplier development background, to achieve strategic plan objectives. They will be a dedicated liaison between Procurement, Engineering and suppliers, will be fluent in supplier capability, and will build supplier relationships to optimize speed to market and cost.

This position is part of the Strategic Procurement Department located in Chaska, MN and will be a hybrid 3 days/week position. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manages the sourcing of critical components and commodities for production across multiple value streams.

  • Drive targeted sustainable improvement in project and supplier OTD, Working Capital turns, Purchase Part Variance and related KPI’s/objectives by leveraging DBS tools, facilitation skills, and the change management process.

  • Lead internal business and quality teams with material and process selection for purchases, locating and selecting suppliers for purchases per category strategies, negotiate prices, develop and administer contracts for strategic suppliers.

  • Follows material procurement and supplier management policies & procedures through SOP work instructions for supply chain.

  • Benchmark and incorporate best practices from other Danaher locations and build business cases to prioritize investments and process improvements that drive continuous improvement.

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree required, with 5+ years’ sourcing experience OR Masters degree with 3+ years of experience in sourcing/procurement function.

  • Proven supplier negotiation skills, with demonstrated performance results

  • Global sourcing experience for a global manufacturing company

  • Demonstrated strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems: Oracle EBS and Oracle APS or Cloud working knowledge is preferred.

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications high level Excel with the ability to learn new programs that are job specific.

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Having prior experience in similar industry/regulated environment (FDA, GMED, NCIS, etc.)

  • Knowledge of the market and potential suppliers, specifically around metals, and wires, and identifying alternatives.

  • Technical knowledge and ability to facilitate technical discussions with suppliers.
