The applicant selected to fill this position shall be required to submit to a pre-employment medical examination. This position requires lifting, pulling, and squatting. Duties of this position require the incumbent to be knowledgeable of and utilize the principles of Total Quality Management. This position complies with and monitors compliance (when applicable) of the mandatory requirements in sections 215.422, F.S. and chapter 3A-20 of the Florida Administrative Code. This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties as follows:
Assists in the preparation and maintenance of a perpetual inventory utilizing the Canteen Management System. Responsible for inventory control to include: ordering, receiving, selling, rotating, pricing and storing merchandise for canteen services. Receive, fill and deliver canteen card orders for units at the hospital. Fill special orders as needed. Set up special schedule/runs for holidays through unit personnel. Responsible for cash sales and canteen card sales. Daily, monthly, and yearly reports for deposits and reconciliation. Perpetual inventory includes supplies, chemicals and equipment.
Inspect and organize Forensic Canteen for space utilization, cleanliness and safety standards.
Responsible for the Civil Canteen/Gift Shop operation for week-end shift when needed.
Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor.
Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:
Knowledge of record-keeping procedures
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with others.
Ability to maintain an inventory of materials, supples, and equipment.
Ability to operate basis housekeeping floor equipment.
