Actalent Production Control Specialist in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Actalent is seeking a Production Control Specialist near Chattanooga, TN. Primary role summary will be to coordinate and track production vehicle orders from

before body shop through finish. The Production Control Specialist will ensure a stable production order flow throughout the process and support production departments in abnormal situations. A successful candidate will have attention to detail, follow standard operating procedures, communicate with all levels of

management, and develop, improve, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). Communicate with production updates with management and suppliers regarding overtime, downtime, and other issues, which might occur. This role is very computer based and requires a lot of interaction with various Proprietary Production Control Software, which requires the ability to write various SQL queries.

Responsibilities:

· Proactively prevent disturbances within the production order flow through analysis of order bank, weekly programs, production capacity, manufacturing capacity and processes

· Maintain heijunka sequencing into assembly and maintain a leveled and smoothed program

· Maintain model mix and roof ratio

· Block Vehicles / Orders as requested from various departments

· Develop, improve and monitor KPIs

· Follow standard operation procedures

· Follows Assembly shift model and working hours/days

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required

· Previous Experience in program planning and / or production control

· Automotive Experience

· Proficient in MS Office software with a focus in Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas)

· Strong attention to detail

· Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines

· Strong verbal, listening and written communication skills

· Excellent time management skills

· Ability to think critically, using logic and reasoning to identify solutions and approaches to problems

· Ability to cooperate with different departments in a positive manner

· Computer and software aptitude

· Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement

· Proactive analytical abilities
