Description We are in the wholesale distribution industry, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and we are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Purchasing Agent. This role involves managing customer credit applications and maintaining accurate customer credit records. You will also be tasked with monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner
• Maintain precise records of customer credit information
• Resolve customer credit inquiries and issues efficiently
• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly for any irregularities
• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments, while maintaining positive customer relations
• Use Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze credit data
• Apply knowledge of buying processes to enhance the efficiency of credit operations
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs and concerns promptly and professionally. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proven experience in purchasing or buying processes.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong ability to negotiate and communicate effectively.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• Familiarity with wholesale distribution industry.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proven ability to maintain professional relationships with vendors and suppliers.
