Teledyne e2v Space Imaging has been trusted to design and deliver imaging sensors and sub-systems to over 250 space missions helping humankind to better understand the world we live in.

Teledyne e2v Space Imaging provides high performance CCD, CMOS and IR sensors for space science, earth observation, astronomy, and scientific applications. Sensors are designed, fabricated, post-processed, packaged and tested in our facilities in Chelmsford (UK).

Teledyne e2v Space Imaging is now working on several large-scale, multi-year projects that are significantly increasing the demand level on its operations. In recent years, Teledyne e2v Space Imaging has also secured contracts to deliver solutions at a focal plane level, including mechanical assembly, cryogenics and proximity electronics.

Position Summary and Responsibilities:

The Marketing Executive will work with the Head of Marketing for Space Imaging across a wide range of marketing activities to support the sales, business development and internal communications teams as required. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute marketing campaigns, event management and create compelling content. Responsibilities will include:

Public Relations & Social Media Campaigns

a) Working as part of a team to plan and deliver public releations and social media campaigns.

b) Monitor performance and prepare reporting data to identify opportunities for improvement.

c) Update Website to support media activity.

Content Creation

a) Develop concepts for brochures and marketing material for online and print.

b) Work with technical specialist to write and fact-check marketing collateral.

c) Manage the heritage databases for marketing content.

Website Management

a) Manage and update website content.

b) Track web hits and analyse website performance to identify areas of improvement and development.

c) Consult with stakeholders to ensure the site is delivering on goals.

Event Coordination and support

a) Assist with the organisation of trade shows, conferences and webinars.

b) Coordinate travel, logistics, invitations, and promotional materials for events.

c) Post-event reporting for sales team and communication channels.

Stakeholder Communication

a) Work closely with sales, product, and design teams to align marketing efforts.

b) Communicate marketing initiatives to internal stakeholders.

c) Support internal communications and internal marketing activity when required.

Market research

a) Undertake analysis of market reports

b) Collect data from space agency websites and other information portals.

Skills & Experience Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Proven experience (3-5 years) in marketing, preferably in a B2B or tech environment.

  • Organized and meticulous about deadlines

  • Strong Communication skills and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in marketing tools (Google Analytics, social media platforms, etc.).

  • Creative mindset and ability to think outside the box.

  • Ability to work flexibly and to tight timescales.

  • Experience in event management.

  • Results-oriented with a passion for continuous learning.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the Space or Scientific imaging sectors

  • Graphics design skills

This role is office-based in Chelmsford but will require working across time-zones and may require occasional travel.
