Ford Motor Company Factory Layout Engineering Specialist in Chennai, India
NX Line Designer Specialist is responsible for Implementation of NX Line Designer across Functions. Tool Specialist provides Subject Matter Expertise in Critical Issues and Enhancements required in Line Designer while establishing robust Methods. This role involves Collaborating with cross-functional teams across FORD globally, to deliver Methods / Procedures / Best Practices adhering to standards. This role plays a crucial part in integration with Easy Plan to Downstream activities like Simulations Etc
Explore the NX Functionality of the system in Connected Environment and identify Tool Issue / Functionality Gap to meet the business requirement.
Manage tool related issues through IR / Internal Issue Tracking Tool
Engineer should be responsible for Validating the Issue fix received from Siemens.
Create Work Instructions / Methods on the Issue Fix, Educate downstream users on the resolution.
Provide Tool Training to the Global Counterparts.
Should be able to Create Quicks concepts linked to Work package.
Establishing standard for Classification and Change Management.
Provide technical solutions based on data for NX Line Designer tool related issues and Enhancement.
Aid in Layout Development for VO or PowerTrain Shop Layouts Including (Line Designer / Modelling / Drafting Etc..,) and Active Workspace.
Assist team on Drafting / Reuse Library / Advanced Tool Functions / Parametric Modelling.
Should be bridging activities between Automations/IT and VETs to deliver effective Automation results.
Guide Point Cloud data to 3D conversion.
Education Qualification Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Computer Science or related field
No. of Years of Experience 5+ years
Professional Exposure
Hands on Experience facilities layout and Layout Tools especially in NX Line Designer in Auto OEM
NX Line Designer Tool Implementation Experience
Knowledge on Teamcenter BOE
Leadership Skills
Self-Starter / Team Player
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to learn, prioritize &manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
