Ford Motor Company Product Manager in Chennai, India
The Ford Dealer Network Information (DNI) Product Team within Marketing and Sales IT manages critical Dealer applications for Ford Motor Company. The DNI team is experiencing increased demand for its data/services and is looking for a Product Manager to help manage the growing workload. The primary application is evolving from historical Mainframe ETL processing to creating a datamart and new API development. We are also modernizing the front end application as well. This position is an opportunity to work with a strong team within Ford across multiple technologies with an opportunity to modernize and shape the future of the Product. This is a terrific opportunity to become part of a global team, contribute to strategic Ford data & project initiatives, as well as learn various aspects of the Ford Dealer & Market Retail IT and business processes.
Work closely with DNI Product Managers, Product Owners, and Product Team members to establish/contribute to product strategy whilst ensuring development teams understand this strategy
Employs/Champions Agile processes, culture, best practices and techniques; helps Facilitates Agile ceremonies
Actively manage features and dependencies in and across product releases
Ensure the backlog is populated with prioritized user stories for future iterations
Help identify risks, work with the Senior Product Manager to implement mitigation and contingency plans, and remain focused on early mitigation or elimination of Risks
Clearly communicate product vision to team members and stakeholders
Maintain Product Roadmap in coordination/collaboration with Product Owners and the Senior Product Manager
Understand business and user priorities and technical feasibility in order to help prioritize the product backlog and manage risks
Communicate often and openly with the team by being responsive to in-person prompts
Strong Agile Project management capabilities
Proficient in using Rally (or similar Agile Project Management tool) to help drive a metrics driven approach for IT team
Strong communications, negotiation, and related skills
Strong facilitation skills to deliver collaborative strategies and solutions.
Capability to manage complex initiatives (integration, risks, issues, etc.)
Capability to formulate and communicate strategy
Ability to think innovatively to identify product improvements using data and or customer feedback
Ability to work independently and take initiative when solving unexpected problems
Ability to deliver under pressure
Ability to adapt communication style and approach
