DESCRIPTION OF WORK

A Corrections Food Service Supervisor manages, coordinates, inspects, and evaluates large-scale food preparation and food service. You will direct proper procedures with baking, meat cutting, and sanitation; allocate staff for work schedules and efficiency requirements; and maintain records for ordering, inventory, and menu development. This role requires strong leadership skills to instruct inmates in food service operations while adhering to facility safety and security standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per week. Work hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM with rotating days off, including every other weekend. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Corrections Food Service Instructor; or Three years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or in a similar large-scale food production operation, which included one year of lead work experience;  or An equivalent combination of experience and training, which included one year of lead work experience. Additional Requirements:

Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
