Research Associate Qualifications Candidates are expected to contribute to process improvements for safety, quality, and throughput. Experience with ELISA assays, automated liquid handlers, and LIMS systems is a plus but we would provide training for the ideal candidate. Additional skills in automated western blots, multiplexed immunoassays, and protein extraction from plant matrixes are highly desirable. Candidates must be team players, reliable and have the desire to learn new skills. After training, the ideal candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience Requirements Bachelors Degree in scientific discipline and 3+ years of relevant experience.

Summary This position is with a protein analytics team conducting research in plant biotechnology. This position requires the delivery of quality results in a fast-paced environment. Conduct ELISA Assays in a fast-paced environment using instrumentation such as automated liquid handlers, plate washers, and spectrometers. Increase production efficiency by handling multiple protein assays in a single sample and large numbers of samples in a single request. Follow OSHA protocols, safety, and decontamination procedures for plant samples and lab equipment. Conduct extensive analysis on ELISA data and reported to management on key findings of market research initiatives conducted for major biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and healthcare organizations. Follow sample extraction procedures for protein expression assays using instrumentation such as lyopholizers, megagrinders, and centrifuges. Conduct automated western blots for analysis of transgenic tissue samples. Sample plant tissue for protein expression assays.
