The Software Engineer II is responsible for the design and development of software proof of concepts, demonstrations, prototypes, and initial versions of applications for stakeholders and for transition to full software development teams. Job duties include the design, code, test, debugging, and debug of new software utilizing technologies for the project assigned/selected and helping the integration into existing internal and external tech stacks. This involves utilizing various technologies, specifically: Azure, C#, JavaScript, Blazor, Unity, PowerBI, Docker,SQL, NoSQL, and other development tools and languages as required. Duties also include: collaborate with Product Management and other development teams to ensure that prototype solutions are efficient, consistent and fulfill business needs; work in a highly agile software development environment with little formal structure; participate in frequent design and planning meetings; willingness to provide solutions and advise using No-Code, Low-Code, Full-Code, Off-the-Shelf, or Homegrown technologies depending upon the project requirements; participate in requirements reviews; refactor existing software; apply generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation;participate in design and design reviews; independently design quality solutions for small to medium features; and possess the willingness to absorb any new software technology and use it for prototype solutions. Must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field.24 months software development or software engineering experience.Experience required in the following: design patterns; object oriented design; C#; .NET Core; and SQL database.Strong experience with MS Visual Studio also required.
