CNC Machinist - Per Diem - Contract
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. You will use lifting devices such as overhead cranes to move large parts, using chains and straps as necessary. Cycle times vary from 6 minutes to 12 hours depending on the machine you are running. You will set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments, fabricate and modify parts to make or repair tools or machines, and calculate dimensions and tolerances using your knowledge of mathematics and quality tools. You will also align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines, monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process, measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, and set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
