AT&T Enablement Manager in Chicago, Illinois

Overall Purpose: Support of network technicians who are engage in installation, maintenance, provisioning, dispatch, and testing activities at the customer site or a company location for POTS, Special Services, Designed Services, Data Services, or related power equipment. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Research and resolve complex customer complaints, executive escalations or service-related issues, review and approve damage claim tickets. Investigate roadblocks and make recommendations to technician to ensure safe and efficient improve performance. Participate in metric discussions with Area Manager teams on ways to improve business results. Receive /resolve grievances, and handle additional issues related to union matters including interaction with union officials. Provide Tier II support which include resolving complex issues that require field expertise or navigating through a system process or procedure; demonstrating to the manager how to troubleshoot an issue and bring to close. Receive /resolve grievances, and handle additional issues related to union matters including interaction with union officials. Periodic coverage for Network Manager which includes time reporting, payroll, on-call or vacation scheduling, and tech training is complete for technicians. Typically reports to second or third level management. Education: Typically, a high school diploma, GED or equivalent related network experience; Technical degree preferred. Experience: Typically, at least 3-5 years of network related technical experience. Supervisory: No. Environmental Requirements: This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
