Job Title: PhlebotomistJob Description
We are seeking a skilled phlebotomist to perform venipuncture for inpatient hospital floors. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling challenging needle sticks and maintaining a calm demeanor with difficult patients, successfully completing draws. This role requires transitioning to various departments within the hospital as needed.
Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture for inpatient hospital floors
Accomplish challenging needle sticks
Maintain a calm demeanor with challenging patients and successfully complete draws
Transition to various departments within the hospital as needed
Draw blood in the Emergency Room as needed
Essential Skills
Minimum of two years of experience in phlebotomy
Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood draws
Comfortable with inpatient settings and tough draws on diverse patients
Phlebotomy certification (CPT, NCPT)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prefer experience with inpatient settings
Work Environment
The work schedule is from 4am to 12:30pm, including holidays and every other weekend. The role involves working in an inpatient/ER environment. Working on contract may lead to a permanent role within the hospital, with the potential for higher pay during the contract period. Upon conversion to a permanent position, you will be eligible for benefits and the phlebotomy union.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00
