YOUR OPPORTUNITY As the Network and System Security Administrator, you will be responsible for helping the Information Technology and Network Security (ITNS) team deliver company-wide technical and system security support. You will play a key role in helping to drive operational success across the team, providing front-line support to our team members. T his position requires hybrid work flexibility to support necessary office/hardware needs, with a minimum of 3 days onsite weekly at our downtown Chicago office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and configure Mac workstations, handle the shipping/returning
Administer user accounts in Workspace and SaaS systems
Configure applications including Google Workspace, Google Cloud Platform, Zoom, MS365, Atlassian, etc.
Configure and support office network and IT hardware
Track inventory for hardware and software assets
Ensure systems are updated and meet security standards
Respond and resolve helpdesk tickets from team members in a timely and professional manner
Create and maintain documentation such as helpdesk articles and internal procedures
Respond to end customer security review requests
Support company SOC 2 compliance processes
Follow procedures consistently, and apply good judgment
Maintain confidential information with discretion and tact
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR SUCCESS
Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree required (Computer Science or applicable technical degree is a plus)
2+ years of applicable work experience
End user tech support experience, in-person and remote, required
Ability to use real-time chat (written and video) to keep in regular contact with team
SaaS admin experience including Google Workspace / MS365 required
Experience with information security standards, policies and practices required
Knowledge of Apple/Mac hardware and software required
Working knowledge of iOS and Android required
Working knowledge of networking tools and configuration required
Information security certification is a plus
Knowledge of Jamf MDM is a plus
VPN deployment and configuration experience is a plus
Network vulnerability assessment and pen testing experience is a plus
Security awareness training and phishing exercises experience is a plus
VOIP experience is a plus
Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
Strong verbal and written communication skills - fluency in written and spoken English required
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations and information with absolute discretion
Ability to take initiative to organize and complete projects with minimal supervision
Excellent problem-solving skills; attention to detail

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary band for this position ranges is competitive and commensurate with experience and performance.
