Actalent Project Manager in Chicago, Illinois

A global architecture firm, focused on interiors, is looking to add a Project Manager to their team!

Job Description:

  • Manages small and medium sized projects to completion

  • Manages overall client relationship from initial assessment of client needs, through design concept presentations and final delivery of project

  • Coordinates with internal/external project teams to ensure compliance with design concept and timely completion of documents

  • Works with design and technical teams to shape and understand the design concepts

  • Manages collections for assigned projects with client and informs Finance Manager if there is an issue with timely collections

  • Identifies and pursues new business opportunities with existing and potential clients

  • Will be assigning tasks, overseeing work and providing feedback to staff

  • Will be managing and developing a team of 3 to 5 individuals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Architecture, Design or equivalent required

  • 7+ years of post-graduate experience

  • Previous project management experience for commercial workplace projects is required

  • Knowledge of materials, furnishings and construction methods related to interior architecture

  • Knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements

  • Experience writing and negotiating contracts for services, consultants and contractors
